Spinal Life is a Not For Profit medical rehabilitation company, supporting people with spinal cord damage and other physical disabilities. When The Vine was approached to develop the uniforms, we started by understanding the daily routine of the staff and roles wearing the uniforms, which included corporate, administrative and operation uniforms.
We discovered that parts of the uniform range needed to offer increased stretch and movement, and be suitable for use in water, such as water therapy treatments. The garments also needed to offer a high UPF rating to protect the staff from the harsh Australian sun when working outdoors.
A large proportion of the range is sublimated polo shirts, allowing us to carefully control the design and colour-matching of the garments, while also offering cool and breathable sports performance fabrics. These items are ordered and produced in bulk to ensure maximum cost efficiency for the group. We made a conscious decision on the materials used in the uniforms, to ensure they performed the way they needed to. With staff working across multiple cities, the uniforms require a split delivery, with uniforms picked and packed weekly on average.
